I am very excited to be teaching this fantastic class. Barre training is a high intensity workout set to the beat of high energy dance music and made popular by the likes of Madonna, Kelly Osbourne and Natalie Portman, to name but a few. This hot, new workout combines the precision of Pilates, the technique of ballet, the alignment of yoga and the strength from sports conditioning - so there is something in this method for everybody. You don’t need to be a dancer to get a dancers body - we’ve got the moves to show you how to get the svelte, sculpted look without so much as a tutu in sight.
BarreConcept exercises are performed with at least one set at full range movement, followed by small, isometric contractions (i.e. tiny pulses at the end of the range of movement), followed by a static hold. This ensures that the muscles are worked to fatigue (going for the burn) and this is followed by immediately stretching out the muscle group that has worked. This way, you will see results quickly!
